Clonex Purple is a rooting hormone gel for cuttings. You dip the cut stem before it goes into a plug or cube, and the gel seals the wound while delivering hormone directly to the site. It is sold here in 50mL, 250mL and 1L. Clonex Cloning Solution is the companion product — a nutrient solution for the water or medium the cuttings sit in, rather than the dip itself.
Focus is crop-specific: separate formulations for orchids, chillies, herbs, roses, natives and general foliage, aimed at gardeners growing a particular plant. Ionic is a hydroponic base nutrient, sold as a single-part Grow and Bloom, aimed at running a reservoir. Most indoor growers want Ionic or Optimum; someone feeding an orchid collection wants Focus.
Single-part like Ionic is simpler — one bottle, one measurement, less to get wrong. Two-part A&B formulations such as Optimum and Coco Grow keep incompatible elements separated in the bottle, which allows a more concentrated and more precisely balanced feed, but you must add them separately and never mix them undiluted. Beginners are usually better served by single-part.
Coco Grow A&B and Coco Bloom A&B are formulated for coco specifically, accounting for the way coco holds and releases nutrients. Pair them with Liquid Calcium Magnesium Nitrogen if you are running soft water, since coco tends to demand more calcium and magnesium than soil does.
