CO2 for Grow Rooms FAQ's
A tent on constant extraction dumps most injected CO2 out the fan. Passive bags mainly keep levels from falling below ambient between air changes, which is still useful in a sealed veg tent. The real jump happens in sealed rooms under high light, where CO2 is actually the factor holding the canopy back.
Ambient outdoor air is about 400ppm. The breath bags we stock are rated to take a sealed space to around 1300ppm. Growers running regulators and controllers usually sit in the 1000–1500ppm band under strong light. Going higher just wastes gas. Dose only while the lights are on, when the plants are photosynthesising.
Yes. A regulator with a solenoid (Pro-Leaf or Harvest Master) meters gas out of the bottle, and a CO2 controller opens and closes that solenoid so the room holds a target and dosing stops at lights-off. Without the controller you are guessing. A Pulse Pro monitor is the cheapest first step to see what the room actually needs.
They are made for grow rooms, but they burn LPG, so they also add heat and water vapour that your climate kit has to take on. Keep to the manual's mounting clearances, run one only where ventilation is managed, and pair it with a CO2 controller and sensor so it never runs unsupervised or past the target.
