Guano, and what it brings

Seabird guano has been used as a fertiliser for centuries for a straightforward reason: it is naturally high in phosphorus and nitrogen in forms plants can use, alongside trace elements. BioGuano builds a small organic range around it, in both liquid and powdered form, and everything on this page is currently buyable.

Liquids

Liquid Seabird Guano. The flagship, in 1L and 5L.

Organic Liquid Nitrogen. Nitrogen from an organic source, in 1L and 5L — for the vegetative stage, when nitrogen demand is highest.

Powders

Micro Bloom Powder. A 2kg dry flowering feed.

Micro Sea Bloom Powder. A 2kg marine-derived version of the same. Both are dry, so they ship cheaply and keep well — weigh rather than scoop, and dissolve fully before feeding.

Beyond the grow room

Organic Lawns and Organic Gardens, both in 2L, extend the range outside the tent. That is worth knowing if you would rather feed the vegetable patch and the lawn from the same organic principles as the grow room — most hydroponic brands simply do not make a lawn product. Organic inputs in practice

Organic nutrition behaves differently from mineral salts. It relies on soil biology to break inputs down into plant-available forms, so it works best in living soil or a biologically active medium rather than a sterile recirculating system. It is also less precise to dose by EC, since not all of what you add is immediately in solution — judge by plant response over days rather than by a number that afternoon.

If you run hydro, consider whether your system supports biology before switching to an organic range.

Both are 2kg dry flowering feeds; the Sea version is marine-derived, bringing a different trace element profile. They cover the same stage rather than stacking, so most growers choose one. They are formulated for general garden and lawn use rather than for an indoor grow, and come in 2L. It is unusual for a hydroponic-adjacent brand to make them, and the appeal is consistency: if you have chosen organic inputs for the grow room, these let you feed the rest of the garden on the same basis.
