Floramax FAQ's
Veg-1 is a one-part vegetative nutrient: one bottle, one measure. VegaFlora is an A&B two-part, so incompatible elements stay apart until they meet the water and the feed can be more concentrated and more tightly balanced. One bottle is simpler and harder to mishandle; two parts give you more control. We stock both from 1L to 20L.
Yes — same nutrient, sold as a powder you mix yourself. 215g makes 1L and 1.07kg makes 5L. What changes is freight and the space it takes on a shelf, not how the plants use it, which matters if you order often or buy in bulk. You will need a mixing vessel and a scale that is accurate at those weights.
They sit at opposite ends of a cycle rather than competing: Growth-XS is a vegetative-stage additive, Resin-XS is a late-cycle one. Growth-XS is highly concentrated — the 50mL bottle exists because that is a genuine working amount — so measure it instead of pouring, and use the FloraMax chart rather than guessing.
In coco, almost always. Coco holds onto calcium and magnesium, so a base nutrient on its own often leaves plants short. Soft or filtered water is the other usual case — there is little calcium in it to start with. Soil growers on hard tap water often skip it entirely. Look at the leaves before you add it as a habit.
Put it into plain water first, before any other nutrient, and stir it through. Silica is alkaline and reacts with concentrated nutrient solutions, which can lock elements up and drop them out of solution. Adding it last, or straight into a mixed concentrate, is how reservoirs go cloudy. Recheck pH after it is in — it will lift the reading.
