Why FloraMax keeps the range short

Most nutrient brands pile on bottles. FloraMax does the opposite: two bases and a small set of additives, each offered in four sizes from 250mL to 20L. You do not have to pick your way through a grow-bloom-micro maze, so it is a simple range to begin on and a simple one to grow with.

Base nutrients

Veg-1. One-part vegetative feed in 1L, 5L and 20L. There is also a powder concentrate — 215g makes 1L, 1.07kg makes 5L — which is the option to look at when liquid freight is the expensive part. The Veg-1 Starter Kit puts the matching additives in the same box.

VegaFlora A&B. The two-part base, stocked in 1L, 5L and 20L, for growers who want the extra control that comes from a split formula.

The XS additives

Root-XS. For root development, 250mL through 20L.

Growth-XS. The strongest concentrate on this page. It opens at 50mL for a reason, and the 20L is there for commercial rooms.

Resin-XS. Late-cycle use, 250mL to 20L.

Flowering Enhancer. The bloom-stage bottle, 250mL to 20L.

Corrections and maintenance

Ca-Mg-Fe. Calcium, magnesium and iron in a single bottle — the usual correction for coco and for soft water, 250mL to 20L.

Silica. For cell-wall strength, 250mL to 20L. Mix it into water first, ahead of every other bottle, and never pour it into concentrated nutrient.

System Maintenance. Keeps lines, tanks and root zones clean through a cycle. Pythoff PLUS does the same job from the other side.

Propagation. FloraMax Cloner in 60mL and Clone Spray in 250mL and 1L cover cuttings. Other options sit on cloning additives.

Working with a concentrated range

  1. Measure, don't pour. Growth-XS ships in 50mL because that bottle is a real working quantity. A syringe or measuring cup belongs on the bench.
  2. Silica first, always. It lifts pH and reacts with concentrated nutrient. Straight water, stir, then the rest of the feed.
  3. Buy the size you will finish. A 20L is good value and a bad buy if half of it sits for two years. Concentrates do not get better with age.

Confirm the mix with a pH and EC combo meter before it reaches the plants.

Floramax FAQ's

Veg-1 is a one-part vegetative nutrient: one bottle, one measure. VegaFlora is an A&B two-part, so incompatible elements stay apart until they meet the water and the feed can be more concentrated and more tightly balanced. One bottle is simpler and harder to mishandle; two parts give you more control. We stock both from 1L to 20L.

Yes — same nutrient, sold as a powder you mix yourself. 215g makes 1L and 1.07kg makes 5L. What changes is freight and the space it takes on a shelf, not how the plants use it, which matters if you order often or buy in bulk. You will need a mixing vessel and a scale that is accurate at those weights.

They sit at opposite ends of a cycle rather than competing: Growth-XS is a vegetative-stage additive, Resin-XS is a late-cycle one. Growth-XS is highly concentrated — the 50mL bottle exists because that is a genuine working amount — so measure it instead of pouring, and use the FloraMax chart rather than guessing.

In coco, almost always. Coco holds onto calcium and magnesium, so a base nutrient on its own often leaves plants short. Soft or filtered water is the other usual case — there is little calcium in it to start with. Soil growers on hard tap water often skip it entirely. Look at the leaves before you add it as a habit.

Put it into plain water first, before any other nutrient, and stir it through. Silica is alkaline and reacts with concentrated nutrient solutions, which can lock elements up and drop them out of solution. Adding it last, or straight into a mixed concentrate, is how reservoirs go cloudy. Recheck pH after it is in — it will lift the reading.
