Byron Bay Gold FAQ's
Because early flowering and late fruiting make different nutritional demands, and a single bloom formulation compromises between them. Byron Bay Gold separates them: Flower covers the flowering stretch, Fruit covers ripening and finish. It is more granular than a two-stage system, which suits growers who want the feed to track the plant closely.
It is all three stages — Vegetative, Flower and Fruit — supplied as 1L A+B sets in one purchase. For anyone new to the range it is the sensible entry point: it covers a complete cycle, removes the question of which to buy first, and works out cheaper than buying the three sets individually.
Follow the brand's schedule rather than guessing. Switching to Flower too early can hold back canopy development you still want; switching to Fruit too early can cut the flowering stretch short. The transitions are the part of a three-stage system that takes learning — on your first run, stick to the chart and take notes.
Vegetative, Flower and Fruit each come in 1L, 5L and 20L, so the same schedule scales from a single tent to a commercial room. The Slab of Gold set is 3 x 1L. That size ladder is unusually complete for an Australian range of this size, and it means you are not forced to change brands as you grow.
Add part A to your water and stir it through, then add part B — never combine the two concentrates directly, because the elements they are formulated to keep apart will react and precipitate out. That separation is the reason two-part nutrients can be more concentrated and better balanced than a single bottle.
