Professor's Nutrients FAQ's
Yes. Professor's started in the early 1990s and still makes the range in-house in Australia. That is the basis of the freshness claim — nutrients can reach a grower within days of being produced, instead of sitting in a container for months. If you care about how new the bottle is, where it was made, or buying Australian manufacturing, this is one of the few ranges on the shelf that is genuinely made here.
The two lines run side by side. Original is mineral hydroponic nutrition, aimed at yield and a feed that is easy to hold on EC. Organic is certified organic nutrition for the same stages — Grow, Bloom, Grow Fast, Flower Boost — plus Terpene Gold. The Organic line also has organic pH Up and Down, which matters because a standard adjuster would otherwise put a synthetic acid or base into an organic schedule.
Yes — they are uncommon. Professor's Organic pH Up and pH Down are sold in 250mL and 1L, so you can correct pH without tipping a synthetic adjuster into an otherwise organic programme. Growers who switch to organic inputs often find this gap only after they have already bought a mineral pH Up and Down, because those bottles are acids and bases, not organic.
Starter Soak is a beginning-of-cycle product: it conditions media and helps young plants or cuttings get established, rather than feeding a plant that is already growing. Sizes are 2.5L, 5L and 10L. Use it with Go Roots and the Cloning Accelerator at the propagation end of the range, then move onto the Original or Organic base once the plant is ready.
Yes, two. The Original Growers Kit and the Organic Growers Kit each bundle that line's base with the stage additives that belong with it. Either kit costs less than buying the bottles separately, and you do not have to guess which additive goes with which stage. For a first run on this brand, a kit is the straightforward way in.
