Dilute for hydro
For hydroponics and semi-hydro, mix 5–10mL per litre of water. One capful is 20mL.

Match the strength to the plant
Use the lower rates for delicate plants such as herbs, foliage and leafy greens, and the higher rates for heavy feeders such as vegetables, fruit and flowers.

Feed at every watering
Use it at each watering for best results, or at least once a week during active growth. Most plants need little or no feeding over winter.

Build strength gradually
Increase the rate as plants grow towards maturity, but never exceed 10mL per litre. Stronger mixes can burn roots and leaves.

Flush once a month
Water through with plain water once a month to clear any build-up of mineral salts.
How long will the 1L last?
At 5mL/L this 1L bottle makes up to 200L of feed. As a guide, a 9L watering can once a week uses 45mL, so the bottle lasts about 22 weeks. Feeding at the full 10mL/L halves that. Complete Focus also comes in 250mL, 5L and 20L, all with the same formula, so it's easy to move up or down a size.
What's the difference between Complete Focus and the other Focus nutrients?
Complete Focus is the all-rounder, balanced to suit all plants, so one nutrient covers a mixed collection or a whole garden. The other Focus nutrients are each tuned to one plant type, such as Foliage Focus for lush foliage plants or Native Focus, a low-phosphorus formula for sensitive natives. If you mostly grow one type of plant, choose its Focus. Otherwise, Complete Focus is the simple choice.
Do I need to adjust the pH?
Usually not. Complete Focus is pH buffered, so with most tap water there's no pH adjusting to do. Tap water is the best choice for mixing, because its natural buffering keeps pH steadier than distilled or reverse-osmosis water. If you run a hydroponic system and monitor pH, the ideal range for most plants is 5.5 to 6.5.
Can I use it on seedlings or as a foliar spray?
Yes to both. For seedlings, keep the mix weak, no stronger than 5mL/L for the first few weeks, then build up as the plant establishes and starts growing strongly. As a foliar spray, use no more than 5mL/L and avoid spraying in direct sunlight or the heat of the day. Leaves take up nutrients as well as roots, so it's a quick way to give a plant a boost.
My potting mix already has slow-release fertiliser in it. Can I still use Complete Focus?
Yes, but halve the dilution rate so you don't overfeed. With a pre-fertilised mix you can't be sure which minerals are in it, or how much. For best results, grow in pure coco fibre. It holds water well and has no added fertiliser, so your plants get exactly what you feed them, which makes it a perfect partner for Complete Focus.
