Work from the coverage area on the individual product page rather than the wattage figure. The SB2000 at 240W suits a smaller or rectangular footprint, the SB4000 at 480W a standard single-light tent, and the SB7000 at 720W a larger canopy. Once it is hung, a PAR reading across the canopy is the only way to confirm the coverage in your actual space.
It is a 60W propagation light, intended for seedlings, cuttings and mother plants. That stage needs far less intensity than flowering, and putting young plants under a full fixture either burns them or forces you to hang it impractically high. It is not a substitute for an SB-series fixture over a flowering canopy.
You need something rated to hold the fixture, and ratchet hangers are the practical choice because they let you raise the light in small, repeatable steps as the canopy grows. Rope and cable ties work until you need to adjust them. Check that your tent bar or ceiling fixing is rated for the fixture weight as well as the hanger.
Yes. Essentially all the power a light draws leaves as heat into the room, whether via light or directly. Moving from the SB4000 at 480W to the SB7000 at 720W changes what your extraction has to remove, so plan the fan and filter alongside the light rather than discovering the shortfall in the first warm week.
