Why Power-House

Tent choice comes down to three things: footprint, height and how well the light stays inside. Power-House covers the common footprints in two heights, which is where the range earns its place.

The High Top range solves headroom

A standard tent at 2.0m sounds tall until you subtract a 30cm light, hangers, a pot and the space a plant needs to finish. The High Top range at 2.35m gives back the 35cm that usually gets eaten, and it is available in 1.2x1.2m, 1.5x1.5m, 2.4x1.2m and 3.0x1.5m.

Mylar lining

The interior is mylar-lined to reflect light back onto the canopy instead of letting it soak into the walls. On a small tent that reflected light is a meaningful share of what the edge plants receive.

Footprints that match real rooms

0.8x0.8m for a single plant or a mother, 1.0x1.0m heavy duty, 1.2x1.2m as the standard, 1.5x1.5m for four larger plants, and the rectangular 2.4x1.2m and 3.0x1.5m for a full room.

Our Power-House range

Standard height, 2.0m: 0.8x0.8x1.6m, 1.0x1.0x2.0m heavy duty, 1.2x1.2x2.0m and 1.5x1.5x2.0m.

High Top, 2.35m: 1.2x1.2x2.35m, 1.5x1.5x2.35m, 2.4x1.2x2.35m and 3.0x1.5x2.35m.

Choosing a tent size

  1. Measure the room, then subtract access. You need to get around the tent to work in it, and the door needs somewhere to swing.
  2. Budget your height from the top down. Light fixture, hangers, clearance to the canopy, plant, pot. Add those up before deciding 2.0m is enough.
  3. Match the footprint to your light, not your plant count. A 1.5x1.5m tent under a light rated for 1.2x1.2m gives you dim corners.
  4. Check the ceiling, not just the tent. A 2.35m High Top needs more than 2.35m of room height to assemble — the frame has to go together standing up.
  5. Think about ducting before you buy. Port positions and sizes decide where the fan and filter can sit.

Power-House FAQ's

Height. The standard range is 2.0m tall and the High Top range is 2.35m. That extra 350mm matters more than it sounds, because a light fixture, its hangers and the clearance you need above the canopy can easily eat 700mm before the plant gets any. High Top is available in 1.2x1.2m, 1.5x1.5m, 2.4x1.2m and 3.0x1.5m.

Size the tent to your light and your growing style rather than a plant count. As a rough guide 0.8x0.8m suits one plant or a mother, 1.2x1.2m is the common single-light tent, and 1.5x1.5m gives four plants room to finish. The rectangular 2.4x1.2m and 3.0x1.5m are for running two or more lights in a row.

Yes. A tent frame is assembled upright, so you need clearance above the finished height to get the top bars in — and you want a little room to reach hangers afterwards. Before ordering a 2.35m High Top, measure your actual ceiling and allow a comfortable margin above the tent height.

It reflects light that misses the canopy back onto the plants instead of absorbing it into the tent wall. In a small tent a meaningful share of the light reaching edge plants has bounced off a wall first, so the lining affects how evenly the canopy is lit — particularly in the corners.
