Grower Tip
- Check plants through the viewing window instead of unzipping — every opened door dumps the humidity and temperature your plants then have to recover.
- Hang the fan, filter and light from the frame before plants go in — the 13mm steel frame is built to carry them.
- A 120cm x 120cm scrog net stretches across this footprint perfectly — fit it early to train plants low and even.
Features
Non-toxic 100% reflective mylar lining spreads light evenly across the canopy so plants grow uniformly, not just under the hotspot.
White powder-coated poles with reinforced metal corner connectors give the tent long-lasting strength and stability.
The frame carries heavy lighting, fans and carbon filters with ease — no sagging roof bars.
Check on plants without opening the tent, keeping humidity and temperature stable inside.
Quality zippers seal out light leaks and stand up to daily access.
The canvas buffers internal temperature and humidity against the room outside.
Flexible vent placements take ducting, fans and filters for full airflow and odour control.
-
1
Assemble the frame
Clear a 1.2m x 1.2m floor space, then build the pole frame with the corner connectors, following the included instructions.
-
2
Fit the fabric shell
Pull the fabric over the assembled frame, zip it closed, and square up the corners before tightening.
-
3
Hang your equipment
Mount the light, inline fan and carbon filter from the roof bars before bringing any plants in.
-
4
Connect the ventilation
Run ducting through the port nearest your fan, and cinch every unused port closed.
-
5
Check for light leaks
Zip the tent shut with the light on inside, darken the room, and close up any pinholes or loose port sleeves.
How many plants fit in a 1.2 x 1.2m grow tent?
The classic 1.2m layout is four plants in 25L pots, though two heavily trained plants under a scrog net or six smaller plants both work. The 2.0m height carries the light, filter and hanging gear above a full canopy — in practice headroom runs out before floor space does.
What size fan and carbon filter should I run in it?
A 150mm (6 inch) inline fan with a matched carbon filter is the standard choice for a 1.2m tent — the size the mid-range fan lines are built around. The tent's multiple ventilation ports take standard ducting, and running a 6 inch fan at moderate speed moves plenty of air while staying quiet.
Will the frame hold my light, fan and filter?
Yes — the 13mm powder-coated steel poles and reinforced metal corners are built to carry heavy lighting, fans and carbon filters. Hang the heaviest gear from the roof bars close to the corners, where the frame is strongest, and it will handle a typical LED, inline fan and filter combination without complaint.
Is this tent light-proof?
Yes. The fabric is insulated and lightproof, the zippers are heavy-duty lightproof units, and the vent ports cinch closed around ducting. After setup, run the light-leak check: light on inside, room dark, and seal anything that glows. Keeping the dark period truly dark is what protects flowering plants.
Which Powerhouse tent size should I choose?
This 1.2 x 1.2 x 2.0m model is the classic four-plant tent. Step down to the 1.0 x 1.0 x 2.0m or 0.8 x 0.8 x 1.6m for tighter spaces, or up to the 1.5 x 1.5 x 2.0m for more canopy. Powerhouse high-top models add 2.35m of headroom for taller setups.
