Effective Against Root & Stem Diseases

Rot Stop is effective against damping-off diseases caused by Pythium and Phytophthora and provides control of stem rot caused by Phytophthora. Protection lasts approximately 3–4 weeks, depending on application rate, growing medium, and cultural practices.

What Is Root Rot?

Root rot is one of the most serious threats to plants grown hydroponically and in water-retentive media. It occurs when roots are exposed to excessive moisture and poor oxygen levels, allowing bacteria, fungi, and mould to attack and break down root tissue.

Common symptoms include:

Usage Rate & Application

Application Rate:

• Mix 10ml per litre of water to create a drench

How to Apply:

• Apply evenly to growing media to ensure full root zone saturation

• Can be applied with nutrient solution

• Allow treated media to sit for 4–6 hours before irrigating again

For best results, ensure the product is evenly distributed throughout the root zone. Plants already affected by root disease may recover following treatment, provided the roots and vascular system are not already severely damaged.
