Grower Tip
- For best results, add Rootzone at 1mL/L to your Succulent Focus mix to keep roots healthy at every stage.
- Mixed solution keeps for one to two weeks, so make small batches and give it a good stir before you feed.
Features
Formulated for the growth and health of succulents, and suitable for all succulents including cacti.
All 12 essential minerals, including calcium, in one balanced liquid concentrate, with no A and B parts to mix.
Designed to support healthy growth, larger blooms and vibrant colour.
No pH adjusting is needed with most tap water.
Made from high-grade raw materials with chelated trace elements, so the nutrients are highly bioavailable.
Guaranteed free of chlorides, urea and sodium, and completely odourless.
Works in soil, potting mix, hydroponics and semi-hydro, with a simple dilution rate for each.
This 250mL makes up to 50L of working solution at 5mL per litre, and the 20mL cap doubles as a measure.
-
1
Dilute for potting mix
For soil and potting mix, add 3–5mL per litre of water. One capful is 20mL.
-
2
Dilute for hydro
For hydroponics and semi-hydro, add 5–7mL per litre of water.
-
3
Feed at every watering
Use it each time you water for best results. Dormant plants need little or no feeding.
-
4
Build strength gradually
Start at the lower rate and increase as plants mature. Don't mix stronger than the label rates, as strong solutions can burn roots and leaves.
-
5
Flush once a month
Water through with plain water once a month to clear mineral salt build-up, especially if you water without runoff.
How long will the 250mL last?
At 5mL/L this 250mL bottle makes up to 50L of feed. As a guide, a 1L watering can at the 3mL/L potting mix rate uses 3mL, so the bottle covers about 80 waterings. Succulent Focus also comes in 1L, 5L and 20L, all with the same formula, so it's easy to move up or down a size.
Do succulents and cacti really need feeding?
They can survive harsh conditions on very little. But a potted succulent only has what's in its pot, and the minerals in potting mix run down as the plant grows. Fed a complete, balanced diet, succulents flourish. Succulent Focus supplies all 12 essential minerals, including calcium, and is designed to support growth, larger blooms and vibrant colour.
What's the difference between Succulent Focus and Complete Focus?
Both are complete, single-part nutrients with all 12 essential minerals. Succulent Focus is formulated specifically for succulents and cacti, with its own mineral balance and a gentler dilution guide: 3–5mL/L in potting mix and 5–7mL/L in hydro, against 3–7mL/L and 5–10mL/L for Complete Focus. If you mostly grow succulents and cacti, choose Succulent Focus. For a mixed collection, Complete Focus covers everything.
My cactus and succulent mix already has fertiliser in it. Can I still use Succulent Focus?
Yes, but halve the dilution rate so you don't overfeed. With a pre-fertilised mix you can't be sure which minerals are in it, or how much, and too strong a feed can burn roots and leaves. In soil or potting mix, that means about 1.5–2.5mL/L in place of the usual 3–5mL/L.
Do I need to adjust the pH?
Usually not. Succulent Focus is pH buffered, so with most tap water there's no pH adjusting to do. Tap water is the best choice for mixing, because its natural buffering keeps pH steadier than distilled or reverse-osmosis water. If you grow in hydro or semi-hydro and monitor pH, the ideal range for most plants is 5.5 to 6.5.
