Treegers FAQ's
Match the fixture to the footprint you are lighting rather than to a wattage figure. The GL300W suits a small single tent, the GL420W a standard 1.2x1.2m, and the GL650W+ and GL1000W+ step up to larger tents and multi-fixture rooms. Check the coverage area on the individual product page, then confirm with a PAR reading once it is hung.
It lets the LED driver — the heaviest, hottest part of the fixture — sit away from the light itself, typically outside the tent. That removes a heat source from the growing space and puts the dimming dial somewhere reachable. Kits are available for the GL650W+ and the GL1000W+.
You do not need one, but it is the only way to know what your canopy is actually receiving. Coverage figures are measured under ideal conditions; your tent has different walls, a different hanging height and a different canopy shape. The Quantum PAR meter with the extendable wand lets you take readings across the canopy including the edges, where problems usually hide.
Yes. Growcast plus the universal RJ-10V 3-pin connection cable and the fixture link cable are designed to daisy-chain fixtures so they dim together from a single control point. Check which cable your specific fixtures take on the product pages before ordering.
They are screw-in LED grow bulbs, useful for propagation, a single houseplant, a seedling shelf or supplementary light in a corner a main fixture does not reach. They are not a substitute for a GL-series fixture over a full canopy — different job, different scale.
