Two matching ranges from one Australian maker

Professor's sells an Original mineral line and a certified Organic line that follow the same stages. Grow, Bloom, Grow Fast and Flower Boost sit in both. That pairing is uncommon, and it is useful in practice: you can move a garden onto organic bottles without learning a new feed chart, or keep one line running while you trial the other.

The Original range

Base. The Original Nutrient Set, in 1L, 2.5L, 5L, 10L and 20L, is where this line starts.

Stage additives. Grow Fast and Go Green cover veg. Flower Boost and Extreme Boost cover flower. Extreme Boost is a powder, sold from 250g through 5kg.

Roots and cuttings. Go Roots runs 100mL to 1L, Cloning Accelerator is a 1L bottle, and Starter Soak comes in 2.5L to 10L for media and young plants.

The Organic range

Organic Grow, Organic Bloom, Organic Grow Fast, Organic Flower Boost and Organic Terpene Gold, in sizes up to 20L. Professor's also bottles an Organic pH Up and pH Down in 250mL and 1L. That pair is worth knowing about, because most pH adjusters are not organic and that is usually where a clean input list breaks. See pH Up & Down for the other adjusters on the store.

Cleaning and finishing

Ultra Flush. The end-of-cycle flush, in 1L, 5L, 10L and 20L — the larger bottles on this page are the better-value sizes.

Resin Clean. A 1L trigger-top spray meant for equipment, not plants.

Media. Hydro Clay Balls come in 10L and are in stock. The coco chips and coco brick are out of stock at the moment.

Choosing between Original and Organic

  1. Original for yield-focused hydroponics. Mineral feed, predictable EC, simple to dial in.
  2. Organic where the input list matters. Certified organic nutrition, and the matching organic pH adjusters keep the whole schedule compliant.
  3. Do not half-mix the two. An organic base with mineral additives cancels the point of going organic.
  4. A grower kit exists for each line. The Original Growers Kit and Organic Growers Kit bundle the set, and cost less than buying every bottle on its own.

Professor's Nutrients FAQ's

Yes. Professor's started in the early 1990s and still makes the range in-house in Australia. That is the basis of the freshness claim — nutrients can reach a grower within days of being produced, instead of sitting in a container for months. If you care about how new the bottle is, where it was made, or buying Australian manufacturing, this is one of the few ranges on the shelf that is genuinely made here.

The two lines run side by side. Original is mineral hydroponic nutrition, aimed at yield and a feed that is easy to hold on EC. Organic is certified organic nutrition for the same stages — Grow, Bloom, Grow Fast, Flower Boost — plus Terpene Gold. The Organic line also has organic pH Up and Down, which matters because a standard adjuster would otherwise put a synthetic acid or base into an organic schedule.

Yes — they are uncommon. Professor's Organic pH Up and pH Down are sold in 250mL and 1L, so you can correct pH without tipping a synthetic adjuster into an otherwise organic programme. Growers who switch to organic inputs often find this gap only after they have already bought a mineral pH Up and Down, because those bottles are acids and bases, not organic.

Starter Soak is a beginning-of-cycle product: it conditions media and helps young plants or cuttings get established, rather than feeding a plant that is already growing. Sizes are 2.5L, 5L and 10L. Use it with Go Roots and the Cloning Accelerator at the propagation end of the range, then move onto the Original or Organic base once the plant is ready.

Yes, two. The Original Growers Kit and the Organic Growers Kit each bundle that line's base with the stage additives that belong with it. Either kit costs less than buying the bottles separately, and you do not have to guess which additive goes with which stage. For a first run on this brand, a kit is the straightforward way in.
