Grow Tents FAQ's
Size from how many plants you want and the space you have. A 0.9 x 0.9m tent is about three plants, 1.2 x 1.2m about four, and 1.5 x 1.5m about six. Check height as well as the floor plan — a light, filter and hangers can take 40 to 50cm off the space above the canopy.
Only the height. Standard tents sit around 2.0m; high-tops are 2.3 to 2.35m. That extra 30cm is easy to spend: once a light, a filter and ratchet hangers are in, a chunk of the roof is gone, so growers with taller plants or bulky fixtures usually take the high-top.
Once you are past seedlings, yes. A sealed tent does not exchange air by itself, so heat and humidity climb and stale air slows growth. An inline fan pulling through a carbon filter handles exchange and odour in one go. Duct ports on these tents take the usual 100mm, 150mm and 200mm fittings.
Two stages in one shell. Separate compartments run their own light cycles, so you can keep mothers or vegetative plants on one side while the other flowers. Harvests then roll on instead of waiting for a whole cycle to finish before the next run starts.
It depends on the frame, but poles and corner joints in this range are built to carry a light, an inline fan and a carbon filter. The filter is the heavy piece — a 200mm carbon filter has real mass — so read the rating before you hang one inside, and use rope ratchet hangers rather than cable ties.
Yes. Tents ship with a removable waterproof floor tray that catches spills, and most sit on a fabric base rather than bare poles. On carpet, put a mat or board underneath anyway, both to spread the weight of a loaded tent and to catch condensation that runs off the outside of the canvas in a humid room.
