To prevent tearing and enhance reflectivity, a 110-micron black poly backing has been applied.
Without this backing, Mylar is see-through, so the addition ensures more light is reflected.
This backing also helps reduce creasing, making it easier to lay flat, which simplifies application to surfaces or hanging.
