Choose airflow direction
Lay the fan flat for top exhaust or stand it upright for targeted cooling, then flip it to reverse airflow direction.

Keep airflow open
Position the fan beside an open vent or ventilated cabinet; fully enclosed cabinets cannot exchange enough air.

Can the MULTIFAN S3 run from a standard USB port?
Yes. Connect it to a dedicated USB port rated at 500mA or higher. Some electronics keep their USB ports powered while the main device is off, so the fan may continue running until switched off using its inline controller.
How many MULTIFAN units can be daisy-chained?
Up to four fan units can share one suitable USB power source through their additional USB ports. Dual-fan models count as two fans. When units are chained, set the controllers on fans nearest the power source appropriately and avoid exceeding the documented limit.
Can the fan operate horizontally or vertically?
Yes. Its dual-ball bearings support horizontal and vertical positioning. Lay it flat over a ventilated electronic device to exhaust rising heat, or stand it upright to direct airflow towards a component or confined area requiring circulation.
Can it be used with filters or outdoors?
No. The manufacturer does not specify the MULTIFAN for filters, outdoor installations or through-wall mounting. It is intended for ventilating electronics and open or vented indoor cabinets. Keep its airflow path clear and do not stack equipment directly on the fan.
Can the airflow direction be reversed?
Yes. Flip the fan around to change between intake and exhaust airflow. Choose the orientation that moves warm air away from the equipment and allows replacement air to enter; a fully enclosed cabinet still needs ventilation openings.

Each unit contains an additional USB port, up to four fans can be daisy chained together to share the same power source.
This fan system is CE and RoHS certified and contains premium dual-ball bearings, allowing it to be mounted horizontally or vertically.
Contains AC Infinity axial fans ACX-FD1225(B)05W5 which meet UL-507 standards for safety under Underwriters Laboratories certificate E503903.

The fan includes an in-line multi-speed controller with power switch to set the fan’s speed to optimal noise and airflow levels for various environments.
CONNECTING ADDITIONAL UNITS
For electronics and components that requires more airflow, each fan unit can daisy chain additional MULTIFAN S series fans. Up to four fans can share the same USB power source; and up to six fans can share the same thermal controller (sold separately). MULTIFAN S1, S2, S3 and S4 contains one fan, and MULTIFAN S5 and S7 contains two fans.
