Grower Tip
- Keep the unit upright; it pauses operation if tilted beyond 45°.
- Use the gravity drain connection for lower-maintenance operation, or empty and replace the 2L tank when the alarm activates.
- For ducted dry-air delivery, pair the dual 150mm ports with correctly sized ducting.
Features
Ten PWM-controlled drying levels provide finer output adjustment than simple on/off operation.
Dual 150mm duct ports support dry-air delivery into a tent and a closed-loop intake arrangement.
The 2L reservoir can be replaced by a gravity drain connection for lower-maintenance operation.
An integrated UIS port adds compatible smart-controller automation, app data, charts and alerts.
The compact cabinet measures 24.2 × 26.0 × 39.8cm and uses a rotary drying motor.
The Australian model runs on 240V AC at 50Hz, with a listed 209–350W operating range.
-
1
Position upright
Place the HYDRONE 5 upright on a stable surface before powering it.
-
2
Choose drainage
Use the internal 2L tank or connect a gravity drain hose for ongoing condensate removal.
-
3
Add ducting
Connect 150mm ducting to the exhaust port to deliver dry air; add intake ducting when building a closed-loop layout.
-
4
Select output
Select one of the ten drying levels using the onboard controls and monitor the tank and alarm indicators.
-
5
Connect UIS control
Connect the UIS port to a compatible smart controller for advanced humidity, VPD, scheduling, app data and alerts.
What happens when the water tank is full?
The HYDRONE 5 sounds an alarm, flashes its lights and pauses operation when the condensation tank is full or removed. Empty the 2L tank and reinstall it before restarting, or use the gravity drain connection for ongoing condensate removal.
Can the HYDRONE 5 send dry air into a grow tent?
Yes. Its exhaust port accepts 150mm ducting to deliver dry air into a tent. A second 150mm intake port can support a closed-loop layout where the installation and grow-space design call for it. Use correctly sized ducting and clamps, then check the run before operation.
Does it connect to AC Infinity smart controllers?
Yes. The integrated UIS port supports compatible AC Infinity smart controllers, adding app access and advanced humidity or VPD automation, data charts, alerts and grow guides. The onboard controls still provide ten drying levels. The controller is sold separately and connects through the unit's UIS port.
What happens if the unit is knocked over?
If the HYDRONE 5 falls or tilts beyond 45°, an alarm sounds, its lights flash and programming pauses. Return it to an upright position before resuming operation. Overheat protection also pauses the unit until it cools.
How large is the unit and reservoir?
The cabinet measures 24.2cm long, 26.0cm wide and 39.8cm high. Its internal condensation reservoir holds 2L, while the listed real-world draw rate is 4L under the product’s stated test basis. It uses a PWM rotary motor with ten selectable drying levels.
What are the Australian model specifications?
The Australian HYDRONE 5 is specified for 240V AC at 50Hz, with a 209–350W operating range. Its listed coverage is up to a 5×5 grow tent and six plants. Use these Australian specifications when planning power and installation.
