The Blumat Drip (Tropf) System operates without electricity, timers, or computers. Each ceramic cone functions as a sensor, responding to soil moisture and releasing only the amount of water each plant needs at any moment.
The Blumat Drip system combines sensor and drip feed functionality, delivering water slowly and steadily, which acclimates it to the ambient temperature. This ensures lush flowering and healthy growth.
Conventional watering systems schedule watering intervals but lack sensitivity to sunlight, soil moisture, or specific plant needs.

Guidelines for Tropf-Blumat Drippers:
- Planter Boxes: 4 drippers per 100 cm length (20 cm width), 3 for 80 cm, and 6-7 for wider boxes (100x40 cm), depending on plant size.
- Potted Plants: One dripper for each plant. Use 1 dripper for pots up to 20 cm diameter, 2 for up to 40 cm, and 3 for up to 50 cm.
- Large Containers and Bed Plantings: Typically fewer drippers to prevent overwatering. For typical summer flowers (like geraniums) planted 20-22 cm apart, 1 dripper can cover 2 plants; with tighter spacing, 1 dripper can support a group of 3 plants.
Connecting to an Elevated Reservoir:
- Attach the spigot near the tank bottom, about 5 cm above the base, for sufficient pressure (at least 70 cm above watering level).
