Grower Tip
- Calibrate through the AC Infinity app before first use, after replacing an electrode and whenever a calibration check shows meaningful drift.
- Use separate distilled-water rinse cups for each calibration solution to prevent cross-contamination between standards.
- Under normal conditions, calibrate the EC/TDS probe monthly; calibrate weekly when accuracy requirements are higher.
Features
Tracks pH, EC, TDS, salinity and water temperature for continuous reservoir monitoring.
Controller AI+ compatibility adds app data, alerts and automation for connected grow equipment.
Interchangeable probes allow worn sensing elements to be replaced without replacing the complete unit.
An IP68-rated sensor supports water-quality monitoring in hydroponic reservoirs and storage tanks.
Six included standards cover three pH points and three EC conductivity levels for calibration.
-
1
Connect the controller
Connect the Hydro Sensor to Controller AI+, add it in the AC Infinity app and open its calibration settings.
-
2
Prepare calibration
Prepare the supplied standards and separate cups of distilled water for rinsing each probe between solutions.
-
3
Calibrate pH
Rinse the pH probe, calibrate at pH 7.00, then repeat with the pH 4.00 and 10.01 standards.
-
4
Calibrate EC/TDS
Choose EC or TDS and the measurement unit, rinse the probe, then calibrate with the selected conductivity solution.
-
5
Begin monitoring
After calibration finishes, place the probes in the reservoir or testing solution and confirm readings in the app.
What does the AI Hydro Sensor measure?
It monitors pH, electrical conductivity, total dissolved solids, salinity and water temperature. The sensor is designed for continuous water-quality tracking in hydroponic reservoirs, storage tanks and other managed water systems when connected to Controller AI+.
Which controller does the Hydro Sensor require?
The Hydro Sensor is designed specifically for AC Infinity Controller AI+. The controller and AC Infinity app provide calibration, live readings, data tracking, alerts and supported automation for other connected grow equipment. It is not listed as compatible with Controller 69 models.
Which calibration solutions are included?
The kit includes pH 4.00, pH 7.00 and pH 10.01 buffers, plus 84µS/cm, 1413µS/cm and 12.88mS/cm conductivity standards. Use separate distilled-water rinse cups to avoid contaminating one standard with another. These standards support multi-point calibration across both sensing systems.
How often should I calibrate the probes?
For ordinary pH accuracy, a calibration may remain usable for about a week or longer; higher-accuracy work may require calibration before each test. Calibrate EC/TDS monthly under normal conditions, or weekly where tighter accuracy is required.
Can the sensing probes be replaced?
Yes. The unit uses interchangeable probes, so a worn sensing element can be replaced without replacing the complete sensor. Recalibrate whenever a new electrode is connected and before relying on its readings. This reduces downtime and long-term replacement costs during routine maintenance.
Description
