Grower Tip

  • Run it on your inline fan — filter inside the tent for intake, or outside on the exhaust end to scrub extracted air.
  • Fit the pre-filter cloth over the mesh and wash it every few months to protect the carbon and keep airflow strong.
  • Reverse the flanges now and then to use the whole carbon bed, and hang the filter high in humid spaces.

Features

Premium Australian Charcoal

A 38mm bed of RC412 1200+ IAV Australian Virgin charcoal gives a high adsorption rate to scrub odours and airborne chemicals.

Maximum Airflow

The wide aluminium mesh allows up to 1668 CFM of airflow, built for large-scale intake and exhaust setups.

Reversible Flanges

The aluminium flanges swap end-to-end so the whole carbon bed gets used, extending the filter's lifespan.

Heavy-Duty Build

Heavy-duty aluminium flanges and dual-sided galvanised steel mesh handle demanding, high-volume ventilation.

Washable Pre-Filter

Includes a machine-washable pre-filter cloth that traps dust before it reaches the carbon; rewash to extend lifespan.

Big-Room Coverage

The largest filter in the range, sized for 12in (300mm) ducting in grow rooms, workshops and commercial spaces.

  1. 1
    Fit the pre-filter

Slide the cloth pre-filter over the filter so the whole metal mesh is covered, blocking dust before it reaches the carbon.

  2. 2
    Connect it up

Connect ducting over the flange and secure with duct clamps (add foil tape for extra hold), or attach it straight to your inline fan with tape.

  3. 3
    Choose intake or exhaust

For intake, place the filter inside the grow space on the fan's intake end; for exhaust, place it outside on the exhaust end.

  4. 4
    Mount it securely

Support this large filter firmly from your frame or structure; in humid rooms, position it as high as possible.

  5. 5
    Reverse flanges over time

To extend its life, unscrew and swap the flanges end-to-end so the full carbon bed gets used.

How does it get rid of smells?

It uses a 38mm bed of premium Australian RC412 1200+ IAV activated charcoal. As air passes through, the carbon adsorbs odours and airborne chemicals rather than masking them. Paired with an inline fan on either intake or exhaust, it scrubs the air moving through your grow space.

What size fan do I need?

This is the 12-inch (300mm) filter — the largest in the range — so pair it with a 12-inch (300mm) inline fan and ducting. AC Infinity also makes it in 4, 6, 8 and 10-inch sizes; match the filter to your fan's duct diameter.

How long does it last and how do I maintain it?

Two things extend its life: wash the pre-filter cloth periodically so dust doesn't clog the carbon, and reverse the flanges end-to-end so the whole carbon bed gets used. Actual lifespan depends on the odour load; replace the filter once smells start passing through.

Can I use it for both intake and exhaust?

Yes. For intake, place the filter inside your grow space on the fan's intake end; for exhaust, place it outside on the exhaust end. Either setup suits large grow rooms and commercial spaces — just mount it as high as possible in humid areas.

What's included?

You get the duct carbon filter with a machine-washable pre-filter cloth and pre-fitted, reversible flanges. As a large 12-inch unit it's heavy, so extra shipping may apply depending on your location.

Description

The high-airflow duct filter is designed to use activated carbon to eliminate odors and chemicals, popularly used for hydroponics, grow rooms, kitchens, smoking areas, and other ventilation projects. Features premium-grade Australian Virgin charcoal bed.

The filter can be used in conjunction with an inline duct fan to act as both intake and exhaust configuration. Heavy-duty construction contains aluminum flanges and dual-sided galvanized steel mesh. The flanges can also be reversed to prolong the life of the filter. Includes a machine washable pre-filter cloth to prevent carbon residue.

    PREMIUM GRADE CARBON

Each carbon filter features premium-grade Australian Virgin charcoal bed rated at 1200+ IAV. It achieves a 38mm charcoal bed thickness and wider mesh openings thanks to a higher microporosity and surface area rating. This combination not only enables a higher adsorption rate without restricting free airflow, it allows the carbon filter to last up to 33% longer.
