Grower Tip
- Mount it as your exhaust at the top of the tent or room, pulling hot air out through a 200mm carbon filter while fresh air draws in low down.
- It moves a lot of air (807 CFM) — start low on the 10-speed controller and bring it up, so you're not over-exhausting a smaller space.
- The motor box unclips from the frame for cleaning — pull it off every few months to clear dust off the impeller.
Features
A PWM-controlled EC motor runs smoothly at low RPM and holds noise to 39dBA even at high airflow, drawing around 78W on average.
A stator blade and dual wind circles push 807 CFM even through a filter or long ducting (746Pa static pressure).
A wired 10-speed controller with backup memory recalls your last speed setting after a power cut.
Plug into any UIS controller, like the Controller 69, for dynamic VPD, temperature and humidity programming.
Dual ball bearings rated to 67,000 hours let you mount it horizontally or vertically, in any orientation.
Resists dust and liquid for humid grow rooms, and is certified to CE, ETL, SAA and RoHS.
-
1
Position the fan
Sit it inline in your duct run; it can mount horizontally or vertically, any way up.
-
2
Connect ducting
Attach 200mm ducting to each end and secure with clamps, adding a carbon filter on the intake side to scrub odour.
-
3
Set exhaust direction
Point the airflow toward your exhaust, usually out the top of the tent or room.
-
4
Plug it in
Connect the Australian power cord to a standard outlet.
-
5
Set the speed
Use the wired 10-speed controller; it remembers the last setting after a power cut.
-
6
Automate (optional)
Connect a UIS controller like the Controller 69 for VPD, temperature and humidity programming.
What size tent does it suit?
At 200mm (8in) and 807 CFM, it's built for 4x4 and 5x5 tents and larger grow rooms — roughly double the airflow of the 150mm S6.
Is it quiet for its size?
Yes — it's rated at 39dBA, and the PWM EC motor runs smoothly at low RPM, so you can wind it right down when you don't need full airflow.
Does it come with a controller?
Yes, a wired 10-speed controller with backup memory. Add a UIS Controller 69 for dynamic VPD, temperature and humidity programming.
Can I mount it in any direction?
Yes — dual ball bearings rated to 67,000 hours let you mount it horizontally or vertically, in any orientation.
Should I run it as intake or exhaust?
Either, but it's usually run as exhaust at the top of a tent or room, paired with a 200mm carbon filter on the intake side to scrub odour.
Which Cloudline size do I need?
This is the S8 (200mm), the largest in the S-series. Step down to the S6 (150mm) for a 3x3–4x4, or the S4 (100mm) for a 2x2–3x3.
Description
A smart inline duct fan designed to quietly ventilate hydroponic grow rooms, boost heating/cooling to rooms, circulate fresh air, exhaust projects, and cool AV closets.
Featuring an inline mixed-flow design, the duct fan can maintain airflow even in high static pressure applications. It is built with a PWM-controlled EC motor for quiet and energy-efficient performance. The motor box containing the fan’s impeller and blades can be detached from the mounted frame for easy cleaning and maintenance.
Includes a smart controller with dynamic climate and time-based programming and can connect to multiple UIS devices.
This product is a part of the UIS™ platform of grow devices and smart controllers, designed to integrate with each other to achieve your ideal environment.
Precise Speed Controller
The speed controller enables you to set the duct fan’s speed between ten speed levels to optimal noise and airflow levels in various environments. The precise airflow control is supported by the inline fan’s cutting-edge EC motor that is precisely controlled using PWM (Pulse Width Modulation). This enables it to run smoothly at extremely low RPM speeds without generating motor noise. Also features backup memory that retains the last speed setting whenever power is cut off from the controller.
Quiet and Energy Efficient Design
This duct fan uses a mixed-flow design using a stator blade and dual hydrodynamic wind circles, enabling it to deliver airflow even in applications where air movement is restricted. The motor houses dual ball bearings rated at 67,000 hours which allows the duct fan unit to be mounted in any direction. The unit is IP44 rated to be highly resistant to dust and liquids and performs well even in harsh environments.
Applications
This quiet duct fan system is popular in a variety of applications including cooling AV equipment rooms, closets, racks, and cabinets. Due to its low noise and advanced control features, it’s also used in various air circulation and ventilation projects including hydroponic grow rooms and tents, exhausting bathrooms and attics, and other installations.
