Why every grow room owns both bottles

Between reservoir changes, pH does not stay where you set it. Source water, nutrient uptake and evaporation all shove the reading around. Most hydro reservoirs creep upward as plants feed, so the pH down bottle is usually the one that runs out first. Still keep pH up on the same shelf — overshooting is easy, and you will want the other direction when you do.

Dose like a chemist, not a cook

1. Small increments. Pour a few millilitres, circulate, wait, then test again. A concentrated adjuster moves a reservoir further than a first dose usually allows for.
2. Never mix up and down directly. Correct one direction at a time. Combining the two bottles just makes salt and a swinging reading.
3. Log your doses. After a few tanks you will know what your water needs, and adjustment becomes a routine instead of a rescue.
